Not much different then the US if you ask me. there are places right here in Dallas that you would catch me going!

I love MEXICO!

Yea I saw two beheaded bodies in the Trinity just the other day.

I would be willing to bet that there are more drug related killings on a daily basis in our country of the USA then there are in the country of Mexico...

I would like to see that statistic...

Mexico had 69 drug murders on New Years Day 2010 alone and an estimated 6500 drug murders in 2009. I don't think we are keeping up.

Yeah think about that. 6500 is more than the Iraq and Afgan wars combined.

This is the main reason why we moved from the Rio Grande Valley (San Benito) to Mt Pleasant. I can remember alot of burned cars with bodies in them on the U.S. side when we were there. We have 5 kids and we decided it was not a safe place to raise our kids. We're glad we moved and are real happy up here.

My two friends were at falcon a month ago and went through a check station. Only thing they had to say was "yes" when ask if they were US citizens. They had a bunch of boxes and luggage in the truck and the boat cover on the boat. They were Never checked for anything. Hell, they could of had a boat load of amigos or drugs. But we all know the drug trafficing and illegal aliens crossing isn't that bad

I still don't get why some people keep bringing up checkpoints. Trust me your friends were being check. They might have not thought so, but they were. Some have spotters to watch cars before the check points. Some have cameras. Some run plates before saying you are an American. Not to mention the dogs. And if they think you are up to something, they will radio ahead and have an agent trail you for a while and re run your plates.

Someone had a post on here a year or so ago, about taking a fishing trip into interior Mexico and stopping to eat on the way back and the place was closed and they went to another place and wound up being held at gun point for sometime. Then there was a shoot out and the real cartel pitched them there keys and told them to get the H%#* out of there. I won't be going anytime soon.

True story, but not from the interior. That was involving a Falcon guide on a trip at Sugar.

Was on Falcon last 2 weeks no problems. The gangs are fighting each other, they'll start running low of members if they keep shooting. Plenty of fish on Texas side. ( and border patrol)
They are bitten!!!!!
