Went out Sunday intending to catch some bass, got zero. Got a tip from a neighbor around 3:30 and found this guy as well as about 20 of his friends! Also caught 3 big perch and a pretty 4# bass. Water temp was 50-52.

A HUGE thanks go to CrazyAngler and Sloedown, who made the jigs I was using (from the Christmas jig giveaway). Just so you guys know, your jigs found a good home. cheers

Great catch! I went Sunday and couldnt get a thing, but no one else was where I was fishing either.

If people understood what was important in life, there would be a shortage of fishing poles.

Hamrick, small lake outside of Tyler.

Fish were between docks kinda hanging out near the weed line, maybe 3-5 ft of water. Not sure what they were doing there though... hmmm

nice slab

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

20-30 minutes north east of town, and yes Crazy Angler it's a private lake.

By the way, the jig of the day was a yellow/black/white with a little sliver and red flash in the tail.
