Fished the Sabine River Feb 27-28. River high as you know and 48.3 degrees. Did manage 45 for the weekend. Fish were scattered on the edges of the sandbars in 7 to 12 feet where you could find an eddie. Caught all on 1/8 oz. roadrunners. Fished some feeder creeks and managed a few males. Should be on in about two weeks if the water will warm.

One More, your report mirrors what we caught last weekend. Sure wish the water would fall about 10' and concentrate the fish. Seems like the cold water may delay the spawn a little bit ,although, the females we cleaned had eggs that looked developed and ready to spawn any day. Our GPS showed we were difting almost 2 mph. I sure wish the current would slow too.

One More,

Thanks for the report. It looks as though the rain, and high water are going to stay with us for awhile. Thanks for the tips, looks like they might come in handy.
