I believe TPWD lists the sand bass as a "white bass". So yes, there is a limit. Hope that helps.

ohh ok so the real name is a "white bass" yea i thought they looked the same, cuz i couldnt find him in the outdoor annual !

Sandbass seems to be a North Texas area term. Growing up I had never heard that term.

Sandbass / Whitebass have a 10" minimum length and a 25 fish bag limit.

okies call them sandbass also... I think okies are the ones that are responsible for the new name for them because if they catch something and don't know what it is they'll make up a name for them ... like when bluecat started showing up in oklahoma's navigational channel the okies started calling them "mississippi whites" ... if you say white bass to an okie he'll look at ya like ... what's that? or if you try to explain to them that there's no such thing as a mississippi white they'll argue until they're ready to fight about it hahaha ... we'ze a special bunch.
