I am getting a skeeter zx250. My old boat was a stratos. The shaft length on my old tm was 45". On the skeeter will I need to get a 52" shaft. I mostly fish shallow and have to raise the tm. But like to fish big water sometimes too. Need advice!
Taking 5 to the weigh-in occurs when opportunity meets successful execution of one's preparation.

I have an 18' Ranger Comanche and I put a Fortrex with a 45" shaft. No problems at all.

I went with a 52" Foretrex shaft on my zx200 and I like it. My 46" shaft kept coming out of water in open water and it was frustrating...
Just my thoughts...

Longer shafts are always better, you can adjust them if need be in shallow water. Couldn't help it.

I have a 52" on my ZX225 and it is good. Wouldn't go shorter.
