Went out to Lake Livingston on Friday May 7th. It was a little more windy than the weather guy said that it was going to be but we still managed to take in 21 whites from 7:30-noon. Caught most of them schooling around 190 roadbed area. I'm gonna try to get back out there on Thursday, but it's lookin' like it's gonna rain a lot this week so we'll see.
Tight lines.

What were you using for bait? I have been wanting to start fishing livingston. I hear it's a great white bass and catfish lake.

I was throwing some slab spoons. Several different colors. When you catch them schooling, it really doesn't matter what you throw at them. Just slow reel it back to the boat. If that doesn't work, continue to jig it off the bottom. A lot of people troll, but that's too boring for me. I'm out there for the fun of catching fish as well as catching them to eat. I've got nothing against trolling, but it's not for me.

I'm not really sure. I didn't get up to Livingston much last summer and my wife had a baby Sept. 3 so fishing was put on the back burner for the fall. I've heard it's real sporadic in the summer. IMO now is one of the best times to go, but this weather is putting a damper on things.
