hay guys i am about to go to belton any one got any tips?

I haven't been on the lake, but they are dropping the bottom out of it right now. This lake has dropped 4-5 feet in the last week. It is cold and muddy right now. Might be tought to catch a fish.

I live right on the lake at Arrowhead Point and it's amazing how fast this lake is falling.

Media Bass was there last Sunday. The winners had almost 26lbs. They said they were catching fish on eveything but mainly on jigs in knee deep water. Water temps were high 40's to 50's.

I'm about to go do some shore fishing here tomorrow. Not looking to really bring in a haul, just want to throw out lines for a while and get the dust and rust off the reels.


Anybody have any good spots they'd recommend? I'm looking at going out by the Hwy 36 bridge over the lake.

What are you hunting? I've seen people sit around the dock at White Flint and pull lots of crappie in. I don't know how good the bass fishing is though. People catch some catfish from the free boat ramp area on the other side of the bridge I think.

I've been on a boat out there once, but it was my only time and am not familiar w/ the area at all.

If you are coming from Temple down 36, as soon as you cross the 36 bridge, the entrance to the park is on your right. I have heard that it was closed pretty recently because they were repaving the parking area. I'd give them a call first.

I think it costs 5 bucks or something like that. You can get a year pass for pretty cheap I think.
