A little too early for sharks. I haven't been very successful in the cold months. Usually sharks don't come in closer until the water temps get warmer. Sandbar sharks will start coming in around April. We start catching the blacktips and bulls around June/July. That doesn't mean that you won't catch one in March though. Anythings possible in the Gulf.

You'd have a better chance goin' to PINS in March. Ever get on 2coolfishing.com? They have a shark forum, lots of guys that chase em year round, you'd have better luck asking on there, I think.
Yes, Brazos is my real name.

Good luck dude. If you hit PINS, holler if you see me, I'll be in a beige Jeep compass. Might think about trying for some shark if I can catch some good bait...

Best shark fishing website in the world- www.tx-sharkfishing.comThere are some really great guys over there. Extremely friendly and helpful. They want to put you on a shark. That site is not for the faint of heart though. Its not about casting a $30 combo spooled with 12 lb. test using 1/0 hooks baited with frozen shrimp. These guys are SERIOUS. Think 12/0 circle hooks, wire leaders, dropping your bait 500 yards from the beach in a kayak, half a jack crevalle for bait, and long nights fishing for a 7-12 foot shark. Introduce yourself. Prepared to become obsessed. Get serious.
I'm not a chick.
