Hey everyone, I live in Lubbock and am not familiar with lake out here, nor do I have a bassboat. I was looking to do some tube fishing on alan henry and was wondering if anyone knows of any accessible spots to slip in to. Also any other pointers about the lake would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Lots of great guys on here and lots of great advice.
As far as fishing Alan Henry with a tube, I would say get out there early and be careful. Right now is not bad but as the weather warms you will start seeing a lot wakeboarders out there and most of the time they wont see you in a bass boat, much less a tube!
There are a couple of different spots you can put in at, all throughout the main campground areas you will find small pockets that you can get in easily.
Best of luck

Similar to what hargefish said. I think you might be a little chilly right now as water temps are pretty low this year.
You can launch that tube from several points throughout the public camping trails. You can also probably get down into Gobbler and launch.
Alan Henry is good in the fact that there is plenty of areas to fish and stay out of the wind in a tube. Most of the coves wont have boaters, but dont go out on the main lake. The boaters cant see you very well, and some may not even be paying attention.
Thats how I started fishing that lake years ago.
Good luck!

It's all fish in with the exception of catfish that are unsafe.
