There is a camping spot up under the dam ,beyond the hatchery. It is not directly on the river,to put in a canoe etc you would have to go back to the hwy 16 crossing

its not fished out. I thought you were joking just to keep people away. I catch fish there every time I go. The fishing does get better down there once it warms up though. And its hard to fish out an area that you cant get to unless you have a kayak or canoe. Not many people can get to the good fishing spots. Thats one of the great things about that part of the brazos. Its very remote with no trash. I love it.

And I usually throw all my fish back. I rarely eat them.

who is this wcl, and what is his problem?
i've never heard of anyone having any trouble with the guides or any other person on the river. shane and others provide great info and awesome pics for everyone to enjoy.

All I will say is this ,stay off and quit mooching of the fringe of private property just because some "guide"told you it was o.k. and by the way have some respect for the actual land owners,I assure you we have been here longer than 1989.Most of you guys and gals are gold ,but you always have your 10% that want to push the limits of respect and ruin the harmony that usually exist.

There, I fixed it.

"...stay off the river and quit mooching public property just because some "so called rancher" told you it was o.k. and by the way have some respect for the rest of the river owners and stop taking our water so you can have pretty grass, clean cars, and Jeeee-hosafat stop chasing the grand-yungun's with the water hose! I assure you we have been here longer than 1989. Most of you guys and gals are gold, but you always have your 10% that want to push the limits of respect and ruin the harmony that usually exists."

The 10% factor fits every walk of life including boaters and landowners and I can guarantee you that at least 10% of the fish pee and poop in the river also.

Aitsurido = Harmony Fishing Way.
