Steve, I bought a truck a while back that had the code card removed from the glovebox. You can go to a dealership and pay them to hook it up and tell you the code, or you can remove the rear seat back and the code is printed in the rear firewall. It's not easy, but will save you $100 if you do it yourself. I got the instructions from f150online.com.

When I had my f150 there was a card in the owners manual book found in the glove box that had the info. If its not there looks like you have some good advice to go by posted above.

Sounds like some of the problems we have with cars in my neighborhood.

As a matter of fact, every single vehicle that has a trunk, has got the lock drilled out! eeks

Just seems to be the way it goes....down to the Shady Palms. cheers

The trunk lid is where the codes used to be on the Lincoln Town Cars...Not sure about the rest of the Ford cars....

those will all work, unless the code has been changed.. its a simple thing to change and the previous owner may have had that done.

The printed code on the vehicle is the master code, it can't be changed
