Got a new fish finder for the dash of my Triton. Anyone have any good ideas on how to get the wire from the back of the boat to the dash? All the wires are hidden behind the fiberglass with no good way to string the thing through. Any good ideas? It would take one heck of a coat hanger.

pull one of the existing wires out tying a rope to the opposite end. Then pull it and the new wire through with the rope.

You can also get a "snake" for fishing wires through building walls Home Depot has them

get an old fishing rod and cut the eyes off tape the end of the the wire to the tip of the rod and then insert it to where needed. Just did it on my Skeeter and helped a quite a bit.

A Fish tape or piece of romex can pull it through.
Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.

A Fish tape or piece of romex can pull it through. Used a fish tape this weekend to put a thermometer on my finder. In my opinion, this is the only way to go. You can get a 25 foot Klein fish tape at Home Depot for $10. From your finder, push the tape through to where ever you are running it from. Once it gets through, use electrical tape to secure the wire to the fish tape, then pull through. You may have to wiggle and work it some, but it will work. PM me if you have any questions. I am electrically illiterate and it took me about half an hour to do it.
