I do believe there should be a special category for bass caught with live bait, on beds, caught on lakes with unfair TPW stocking programs however

I would like to see seperate catergories for the type of bait that the fish is caught on.

Live bait and artificials have been around for ever.
Perry's record has stood for how long? and still does.
Seems to me, neither work very well.
Why debate wasn't hasn't happened yet?

PERRY RECORD IMO IS NOT LEGIT........ THERE IS NO ACTUAL PROOF OF THAT FISH WEIGHED ON CERTIFIED SCALES IS THERE?

Record fish don't come very often as time tables show.
TX state Record, since 1982, World record s 80+years,
We talk about what it takes to grow bigger fish, yet none are being caught that assualts TX top 50.
It isn't very easy to do it with either or as records and and how long those state records have stood across the USA.
I guess if records were being set monthly, you gotta debate, but since its over 28 years since we had a new record.

Let me throw this comment in after reading HOOK'EM'S post. Hasn't been any true big girls caught in a long time, and a main difference between now and then is they kept fish for table fair and now most dont, so put 2 and 2 together and what do you have.
