Both are great lakes. Rayburn has been fishing tuff lately but should be turning on soon. I have not fished Fork this season YET. I know not a lot of help but have fun.

Rayburn is going to bust wide open any day now! I've only heard that 20 time in the last 6 weeks!

I would go to Rayburn and keep all you catch and call me on Friday and I'll bring my cooker. You'll probably have enough to make a fish sandwich for you, me and your buddy!

Just a suggestion, but how about giving Rayburn a try for a couple of days and heading to Fork if you don't like what you see. Or vice versa. The two lakes aren't that far apart. You could even go from Rayburn to Toledo Bend to Fork and hit 3 great TX bass lakes in one trip.

Thanks All the input is helpful . We do this once a year and want to have the best trip we can. I do have a question someone put in another post where are all the guide reports. Bad or Good it would be nice to hear something from the men who are on the lakes the most of all of us. Just a plain fact report. We all know guides have bad days That is no secret. Anyone go out on Wednesday?? Thanks Ray coolio

Check out tournament results on Rayburn, that's the best way to figure out how the the lake is fishing. It has been tough on Rayburn. GOing this weekend to try and figure something out.
