Checked out a couple of creeks at Benbrook yesterday. Nothing going on yet, but it won't be long. Water looks great.

You think the temperature might be too cold..since the ice?? I imagine this warm weekend will get them going.

Didn't get a chance to...too many honey-dos cutting into my fishing time. Saw one report....nada. Maybe if it gets warmer, they'll get moving.

have good info that the hybrids are on like donkey kong. limits are easy up to ten lbs. will be out there on Mon the 24th. talked to my guide that is helping us fish there that the hybrids are gorging on anything that is live(perch, shad or minnows). good luck to all, will post on march 25.

Went to Benbrook Saturday. put in at rocky creek around 1000. Trolled bender/spoon and bender/sassyshad combos in front of airplane beach caught two small ones on the 21' to 25' break and graphed some other fish at 25'. Probably shad and I like to think some gamefish underneath. Dropped minnows on the East side with no hits. Then tried up rocky creek but the dogs were too interested in swimming for shore to keep them quiet. Anyone else do any good??

Mon the 24th was my day with my guide. winds were horrific. didn't catch any fish but man did we graph'em. we could only use downriggers cause of the winds (about 30 mph) and they were on the bottom at 50 ft. just couldn't get a bait near them. but the fish were abundant and the shad pods at times measured 20-30 yards wide. jim at benbrook marina reported lots of catches on Sun. the 23rd. benbrook should rock for hybrids this year. good luck to all.
