I would have all intentions of donating it. Depending on conditions and if the proper facilities are around to keep it until retrieval.

Give your reasons on a post ............ Alright....I aint skeeered!! I would donate it because I think TP&W has done an outstanding job of creating great fishing all across the state by releasing the offspring of the SAL's into other lakes that may never have had the genetics without the program.

donate because its the anglers choice where the fish winds up and i know mine would be handled properly before transport to athens hence surviving and being released back in the lake after the process. win win for everyone...

Release, Im not 1 who has a stand one way or the other, but i dont care about a mount or anything that comes with it. Im getting a picture and it will swim away. Lake, state or world record is a different story

I would release. I have donated a SAL back when Alan Henry was on fire. We (us west texans) donated all those SAL's out of this lake and now what do we have? Nothing, yep thats right all we have the best spotted bass lake in the state. I guess its just to far out west to travel for the state to show us some love by re-stocking some of those genes out here. Only time Alan Henry gets any fingerlings is when someone turns in a female and they bring her babies back. In that case I guess we just need to catch more SAL's before we get a good frocking I mean stocking?

Donate, IF we had somewhere to keep it SAFELY till TPW got there. If not, then a Picture will be fine, no since in killing a Big Girl for no reason but self-gratification.

Alright, I will be the first to admit that I would release it. I already have a replica of the 10.25# that I caught (and released) in November on Falcon and can't see the need for another fish on the wall. Also wouldn't want to increase the odds that she wouldn't survive. JMHO

Release...as much as i would like a replica, I have a mount already. Not a SAL but I HATE DUSTING that thing. A poster picture would be best for me.

Release. I used to be a fan of the SAL program. But I'm seeing the argument of the detriment to the fisheries. Jason's post earlier was enough to convince me. No 16 pound fish in 8 years. That's pretty crazy. We haven't had an 18 pounder since the 6th year of the program and no 17's in how long? How is the program working then?
