Some sympathy please! DTA has not fished since 01/08/10! The few decent days we have had since then have been few and I have been busy on those days to boot. That last day we went without a white or hybrid bite, too. A few crappie were fooled by our little jigs, though.

Now this weekend looks very poor with all of the ice and snow on the roads and ramps. At least the Daytona 500 is on Sunday. That will keep me occupied for a few hours then.
To make matters worse, LL is high again and the loading docks at Lewisville Lake Park are underwater! So get out the rubber boots. The fishing has been poor since Fall and there is no indication that it will improve soon. The water temperature is in the low 40�s and you would be lucky to get a bite the next few days.

There have been a few good reports from the Trinity River below the lake. It seems to be loaded with big whites and Hybrids. Those are the fish we have been missing on the lake. They have escaped through the dam when the water has been released. I think this is the third time in the past year.

We need some warm water and decent temperatures and possibly the bite will be back on for 2010 in time for Spring Break.

Looking forward to some warmer weather my self. I've been wanting to go out to LL to explore some but since I've joined in on this TSA I've been using my time to explore on other lakes. The times that I have been on LL I can tell you that the shad have not skiped a beat. That lake is FULL of shad.

Amen, Don!! I hear ya! The same goes for Hubbard regarding CATCHING!! If this keeps up I may sell my boat and find a new hobby...like you watching Danica Patrick!....but probably not since I am too addicted to fishing!!!

Hey Don - the fish did not escape, they have found their way to the Asian Market in Plano, on ice for sale. Some real "Trophy" here and there. The warmer weather is certainly welcomed to get LL back on track soon.

When there is that much water and cold before spring the usual senerio is a great fishing season ahead. This just my recollection from fishing the last 60 years

I've learned to live with that. Hopefully in a couple weeks it will pick up good.

Lewisville was better when it was low-er.. I might be and could be wrong. But I remember - stumps showing everywhere around mid-lake, and lots of good fish'n.
This was 2-3 years ago.

i was at little elm ramp today and the water is coming over the sidewalk to the dock..with the spring rains coming could this be another 2007
