Thx for the info. I did numerous serches and was unable to find 'em. Any idea on how to replace the hooks on them. Some of them are in eye hooks that screw into the bait.

How would you get hook inside the eye without degrading the integrity of the eye hook?

Thank you!! Didn't think of that. Hopefully the hooks will not catch on each other.

I bought a couple of jointed 4 or 5 inch ones at Academy a couple of weeks ago.

Some of those old baits bring some good old memories for us fishin' antiques. We used to go out at night a lot on small lakes in the barrens of Northern Wisconsin and throw Jitterbugs and Crazy Crawlers. You'd wing it out, hope you heard a splash, then listen to it chugging back in. When you heard a big splash you'd lift the rod and hope there was weight there. Some greeat fun and great memories. Ditto the split ring for hook change part.
Catching a fish is great. Riding there on your bike just makes it better.

The Jitterbugs have awesome action. I have a couple but I seldom tie them on. When you look at them swimming with that action. The problem I always had was with the hook ups. Does anyone have a suggestion on the best size hooks to use?

I have caught many on the original hooks although they aren't that sharp. The key is to wait until you feel rod resistance then whack 'em. Of course doing that I have lost some fish but it could be the hooks. It is common to try to set the hook as soon as the fish bust the surface. Just be patient!

I would go with the original size hooks. Just find out what size hooks they are or approximate. Find you favorite trebles in that size and replace.
