What, In your opinion, is the best braid on the market and has anyone used the Diawa Samuria Braid.

I fished power pro for 4 or 5 years and never had any problems with breaking. It does tend to fade quickly and has tremendous "line guide noise". Had a buddy give me a spool of samuria braid 3 years ago and have been fishing it ever since. I haven't had it break on me, doesn't fade anywhere close to what Power pro does and it is alot smoother & rounder than Power Pro....this makes it almost silent thru the guides and the roundness keeps it from digging in on hooksets. Just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with it.

My son has tried Samurai braid when it first came out.
He got it cheaper than power pro it act like the original spider wire.
It is good line now it is over priced fishing line.

One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!

Been using Power Pro for 8-10 years now and some of it has never been changed and does fine.

Suffix is the best braid Ive come across and I use braid on all my reels. It is the roundest smoothest line by far.Ive tried Pline Spectrex braid,Fireline,Spiderwire,Stren ,Tufline XP and PowerPro. PowerPro is the closest but not as round. On the other hand Sufix is a little more expensive. Ive never tried Diawa Samuria Braid.

agreed, I actually have power pro on my rods now, but have used suffix prior. The power pro is every good as suffix, except for the shape, power pro has more line guide noise.

The only braid I have ever tried is power pro, don't see the point in trying anything else

Used Spiderwire since it first came out. Recently tried PowerPro and don't think I will switch back.
