Hey dlee1996,

I like that clipart. It appears that someone was watching me and got inspired to reproduce it in animation!! he he

I know they were full of eggs on tawakoni spillway last sunday and I think it would be hard to turn back the clock or for them to go back out. I assume that they will be gorging on baitfish in order to continue there spawn on into our much awaited warming trend.

Tree,
Just wanted to say it again.
That is so cool.
You just can't get a better idea of where to find them, unless you were to take them there yourself.

Thanks

Jeff, that's just an easy way to show people where everything's at, once you get out there walking along the creek, you can find plenty of other places to stop and fish. Last year when my buddy and I went up there and caught them during the full fledged run, it didn't matter where we were. We must have covered a mile and a half or more of creek, casting and walking, and we caught them everywhere.

I just wish there were satellite views of everywhere. Wait a minute...I'm sure there ARE satellite views of everywhere. But, only select individuals actually get to see and utilize them.

JBrown,

Try TerraServer.com. You can get a satellite image of any place you choose.

Yep, terraserver is an invaluable tool. I'm always looking around on it and stuff. I generally burn far too much time looking at stuff for no particular reason

By the way, I finally talked to the Corps of Engineers about the Henrietta Hole situation, with Cleveland Gibbs Rd being blocked off. I had an elaborate plan that involved getting the Corps mad at Northlake or Westlake (whichever town the road's in) due to the road being on Corps property and such. Then I found out the Corps was the one who requested it be blocked off. They said people were trashing it up too much and driving all around back there and the like. So, there you have it. If anyone's got any good ideas on where to go from here, shoot.

If you could get a local organization (Boy Scouts, VFW, American Legion, etc.) to make that their litter patrol area, maybe they would let us back in. Also, There was a paint ball association that had fields back there. I wonder if they lost access as well? I am just trying to find something. Possibly find a land owner on the south side and get permission to go back on their land? I am reaching now, but I guarantee I can find some old man or woman that owns some of that flood plane and wouldn't mind if I drove back there. Heck, I would even offer to clean some fish for em... I will do some research and get back to you. We need to hurry, the run should be going strong in a couple of weeks.

I considered something along the lines of your suggestion. They could move the gate further down, and it could still block the vehicles from getting in, but maybe we could still walk down there. However, that's probably not going to happen.

What baffles me is that out of all the trashed out, filthy, nasty fishing holes I've seen, they shut down Henrietta Hole. I never saw that much trash around there. Denton Creek at 377 is filthy. Vance's Camp is a waterside dump, I could go on and on.

As far as finding another adjoining land owner, the vast majority of that stuff down there is owned by the Corps. The whole thing just really cheeses me off.
