Wear ice skates and bring an auger.
I love fishing in the snow, I just hate the slippery boat deck.

Actually, I fished in a tournament one March and was hailed on at first then turned to sleet and then to snow!!!! I ended up in second place that day, so bass do still bite during all that!!! But the boat deck does get very slick and makes fishing very interesting.

I'm still confused as to why you didn't go fishing if I did t have to work I would go 24/7 rain or shine like a fishing mailman

All fluffy snow out here. But can't fish cause I pulled the carbs and fuel pump off for a cleaning and need a link & sync before I can get it on the water again. Plus it's cold outside.

Seems like the bass really bite in the snow on most lakes. That's from WI to TX and everywhere in between. A pain on the hands, but better than a cold rain for sure--snow sticks instead of soaking your whole body. Snowed last year on the first day at Table Rock and the field crushed them. Got "nicer" each day after that and the fishing tanked. Have had a number of very good days at Fork in the snow too. Also caught 50 or 60 fish with my brother on a lake that normally stunk in WI years ago (in tourneys, one or two boats in a 75 boat field would have a limit). Like every fish in the lake decided to eat and we were the only ones there to enjoy it. Mostly dinks, but made for a great story to rub it into our buddies. It's hard to convince guys to go on a guide trip in the snow, but usually worth the trouble. I get a lot of grief if they don't bite though. Of the other hand, I had the funnest day in a long time out in the snow with my 4 year old son today. Spent 2 hours outside int he AM and just got in after 3 more this afternoon. We built and then destroyed a bunch of snowmen and rode sleighs. A rare treat for him and it took me back to my days of childhood fun.

Snow doesn't ruin everything. That's awesome! I spent the day doing the same thing with my kids. PRICELESS
