I wonder if the county took advantage of the ramp being out of the water for so long...... Do you think they resurfaced it?

The RC ramp. If you don't have 4 wheel drive - don't even bother. Especially on a weekend afternoon after everyone has tracked mud from the bank all over the ramp.

With all the taxes Comal County is collecting, that ramp ought to be paved with gold!

Sometimes that ramp is so slick that even with the brakes on and all four wheels locked up, your vehicle still starts to slide toward the water. Talk about pucker power!

When it's wet you can barely even walk on it without the danger of slipping and falling.

I've had to help several people pull out of there, but still you see those light pickups pulling those heavy boats and backing down that slick steep ramp.

The new ramp at Mystic Shores #23 should be opening soon
if it is not already. It is a good one and it is the next
one down the lake from Cranes Mill Park. You have to come in
off hwy 306 to North Cranes Mill Rd. all the way to the end!
The county still shows it as closed, but they show open it
as soon as they have time. I think it needs to be 905.15' to
open. This should help the people putting in from that side
of the lake. Hope this helps. Good Day,

Glad to see more ramps opening, because Canyon Lake Marina started charging $10 a day to use their ramp when the others started to close. Hopefully Randolph ramp will be opening soon.

906.91 as of 6:30am. Heard a rumor ACoE is going to be raising the conservation pool to 910.00 can anyone confirm this?

With thre rains due in this evening and tomorrow, we should be at full pool this weekend. Would love to see a few more inches of rain.

First Cattle guard coming from R.C. Crossing is a gate just before you get to the cattle guard. Go down that road all the way to the private park and act like your lost. In a few minuets someone will drive up and tell you that you are on private property and you are not permitted to use the park unless you own property or know someone that does and you have written proof. Again don't ask me how I know!

Seriously you might try the above and then ask to speak to the HPIC. I've seen folks camp out overnight on the sand/gravel bar which is in the river bed and legal, but they came up from the lake.
