Why do bass always get a free pass? So a bunch of whiny "sportsmen" can feel like outdoorsmen in their 50,000$ boats without having to clean the fish and get their hands dirty?

it seems like all eveeryone talks about is CPR(catch picture release). but what is wrong with filleting a few and frying them every now and than? ****Voice of Aging Reprobate****(high pitched) "Ain't no fish too small.....I just FRY 'EM CRISP! ....and eat the whole thing!" "Yes I do, BY DINGIES!!"

I agree with many, Why go through all the trouble to catch them when you aren't gonna eat them. Like all the "Offshore Marlin" fishermen, Why go through all that trouble to poke a tag in it's back & cut the line?
I'm not a huge fan of Black Bass, but i'll eat them.
Prefer some White Bass, Crappie or Yellow Cat (Bellies are my fav) from Freshwater
Flounder, Spec's, Tuna, Ling, Mahi from the Salty side
Throw in some Oysters, Shrimp, Stoner Claws (aquired taste) and Crawfish...
Man I'm getting Hungry....
I tried to be normal but it got boring so it's just back to being ME~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Never argue with an Idiot, They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

When I was little, my dad always said "Eating bass will give you worms", so just throw em back! Actually, release them gently, they are worthy you know!

Don't care much for the taste of bass but love me some crappie! I'll keep the freezer stocked most of the time.

Well if the hook is deep and you can't take is out with out him bleeding cut the line he will swallow it and it'll come out i've seen them coming out... Now if they start bleeding bad around the gills after you get done messing with him don't let him go he'll die if you don't want him give him to someone you'll find someone around the boat ramp that will take it and clean it
