I have serviced a Ming reel. They are built pretty cheap compaired to Abus. I do like the BPS reels. Seem to be solid.

I got 2 of the proanglers, they were a little rough when I got them, but now they have wore some and are getting a lot smoother, and cast real good, the clicker is right where I palm my reel when I pick them up, and I always turn it on, one of these days I might get smart enough to put my hand somewhere else, but for the money it is a good reel!!! They must have made some mods on the Proanglers, cause they have 4 ball bearings, where the mings have 3!!! http://www.proanglertackle.com/CatfishReel.htm

I hardly ever use the clickers, unless I fish by myself and have rods out both sides and both ends of the boat, and then most of the time I still don't use them!!!

that is a shame buying reels with clickers and not using them. If it weren't for that clicking sound, I wouldn't be fishing anymore !!!!!!

I am with larry on this one, I use to use the clickers, but have since moved to just leaving the reel engaged.

You don't understand, I am deaf in one ear and can't hear out of the other one, but I don't have anything against using them I use the circle hooks, and I just think I catch more fish with the reel engauged!!!

Then I will remove the tab from them so you dont turn them on. If we ever get to fish together Ill bring a screwdriver. ( Not the drink)
