Great job. Me and a buddy met John a couple of years back on a weekend where it snowed for two days. We had a blast and caught some really great fish. I still have the pictures we took of some of the better fish that weekend. I fished with that buddy last weekend on Palestine and it was pretty cold but we still talked about that weekend with John and how miserable the weather was but how great the fishing was and how great it was to see John and spend a couple of days with him. He is truly a great guy and super angler but most of all it is always a blessed day to be with him and share some great fellowship.

My son and I went with John Tanner in July. July was not the right time to take an 8 year old fishing, I've since learned. I told John that this trip was for my son. I wanted him to do most of the catching, not me. Jonh made my son his number one priority. My son does not want you to hook the fish and let him reel it in. He wants to cast, set the hook and reel it in by himself. Again, this was John's top priority. He put us on fish. We didn't catch any huge ones but that was not what we expected. We could have spent all day for that one big bite but we wanted numbers. I think numbers are better for kids, especially with short attention spands. John is a great person and guide. He went above and beyond what I expected.

Good Deal! Johns reputation around Fork is excellent! Fork gave me my personal best a couple of years ago. A 20 incher that went 7 lbs. 7 oz.. I caught it on a 3/4 oz. Royal Red One Knocker Rattle Bait. Those red trap style bait are just the berries ( huckleberries in my case of course). Glad that you had a great trip. Fun stuff! TFP

Nice fish. Nice Photo. I bet ya warmed up real quick. Kind of makes ya warm and fuzzy all over. Again, congrats, and nice story. Presents don't always have bows on them, sometimes the bows in your line.
