I got a call about 8:00 saturday night that Ray who Runs Top Cat guide service had a boat issue and some clients he wanted to make sure did not drive all the way to T-wok for nothing. I am very glad I was in a position to help out. We meet up at the Ramp at 7:00 and headed out. We headed to an area where I had been catching some nice fish and in a previous post someone already gave out what Steve did there on sat. We get set up and it is not to long and catch a good eater. Then a few minutes past and Chase gets into a nice catfish that weighed 20 pounds.

We caught few more eaters there and the bite slowed so we moved to our next stop and get about a 10 pounder right off the bat and then the bite just quit set there for about 30 minutes and nothing so we start reeling in and slam goes down a rod and who else but Chase is standing right there and catches a 30 pounder. Here is one action shot and pic of Chase's 30 pounder.

We ended up with a nice mess of eaters for the day. I have to say Chase and his dad were troopers. I wish we would have tied into a few more big ones but today they just did not eat for us. We were able to move around a get bit just did not hit that wad of big fish. I really enjoyed this trip. If any of you are ever in the South Central Texas and need guide give Ray at Top Cat Guide Service a call he is good guy and knows his stuff. Also he is very good with a camera.

Trophy Catfish Adventures still has a few dates availiable and would like thank Steve and Tommy for getting us hooked up.

Tim looks like y'all had a good time and the young man caught some healthy fish! Ray was pretty bummed out when I talked to him Saturday evening about his boat. I got to say I agree he is great guy and a blast to fish with. CONGRATS once again to Chase on the nice Blues thumb

We had a great time. That 30 pounder was a monster. That was a nice rig that you have set up for serious catfishin. Thanks for putting up with us for a day. Maybe I can move out of the 10 pound club, to join my son in the 30 pound class some day. Thanks Ray for hooking us up. It is amazing that a "slow" day still yields 16 fish. I have had plenty of days with zipp. Hopefully learned some tips, so we will have fewer of those days. Chase will be taking a few pictures to school for the weekly show and tell. He is so excited. Thanks again.

I'll bet he will. My grandson took some pictures with him of a 20 lber he caught with me on Grapevine a couple years back. His teacher asked his parents if he really caught it by himself. When he caught it he said, "Papaw, I need help", I said, You caught it, you reel it in. When he got it to the boat I about soiled myself. scared rolfmao Congratulations to you and Chase. cheers

Very nice Tim. Thanks a ton to you, Tommy and Steve working us in that tight schedule. When my helm went out, katy bar the door I was scrambling!

I was tickled to death to see Chase land those two rascals and a bunch more box fish. You know your lake and your cats bud flehan. It was cool to see the extra attention you paid to Chase bringing in those fish with those eggbeaters. I will be sending folks your way next winter.

Now if I can just get my intestines back in after lifting those durn box anchors of yours all day freak. Now I know how Bama felt when his grandson caught that big cat.

Special thanks to Hardin and Chase for letting me play deckhand and photographer all day.

Last night I have never seen anyone eat so much fish. The cold weather made for a perfect time to set up the fryer in the garage and cook up a mess. We sure enjoyed it, and there is another bag in the freezer. Thanks for some great memories.
