Hey guys:A guy drowned just after taking his 16 FT Bass boat out only about 200-300 yards.The theory is that he forgot to put the plug in his boat.Please wear your Life Jackets,even if you can swim.Better to always have it on,and not need it,than to need it and not have it on...Be careful,and be safe....

I don't understand why the boat would sink. It's my understanding that all boats under a certain length (i'm thinking 27') have to have enough floatation foam in them to keep them on the surface and able to support the weight and number of passangers listed on their tag. I believe it was back in the 70's when this law was enacted. At least thats what I was told by a boat dealer four years ago when I was looking to buy one. Maybe my memory isn't what it should be. Very very sad indeed. Especially with people getting to him so soon.
