I have the keel guard, but I have heard from everyone that has a hamby's that they are worth the $$. I have never had a problem with my keel guard, it works great.
you know, nothing wrong with seven men who met on the internet going for a swim together

I have a Hamby's on my Skeeter. It is extremely sturdy and durable. If I have no place to beach my boat and there is nobody using the boat ramp, I will just beach it right on the concrete ramp. Worth the money? Absolutely

There are two versions of the Hamby. There is a light and heavy version. Yes they are worth the money and I wouldn't own a boat without one. Especially if you fish alone as it makes it a no brainer when beaching the boat. For the money, the heavy version is the way to go. Much thicker and looks good on the boat. Many dealers/installers out there for Hamby as well.

I got one and they are awesome for protecting the bottom of the boat. If you think about how much it would be to fix the fiberglass if you had problems than just gone ahead and bought the hambys its much cheaper the hambys route. Plus it will protect the boat from whatever is under neath so you can beach it on rocks or whatever and not worry about doing any damage.

I've had both and prefer the Hamby's. It was one long day on a rough texoma and my Keel Guard finally gave out while plowing through the waves, it peeled nearly 1/3 of the way off. When I got back to the ramp I told my buddies to look at my boat that it was flat exhausted from such a rough day. She looked like an old tired over-heated dog with her tongue stuck out panting. Go with the Hamby, they do not come off.
