Is there a formula or is it just hit and miss to setting your jackplate the right height? I have a 98 champion 19 foot with a 200 johnson and a 24 pitch raker

i checked on bbc on the owners forums for similar boats, to have a starting point for mine. most important thing, is to watch your water pressure gauge- too little means you are cavitating and can cause severe engine damage.
