I say cheating because I am asking for help in this forum.

I've never fished Texoma for Largemouth. I have caught some trolling accidentally. Any of you linesides anglers have patterns or tips for the lake. I have no idea where we are launching from so general information is fine. I may get to prefish, I'm looking for seasonal patterns for LMB or SMB. Thanks ahead of time for any replies.

I sure miss the stump dodging on Lake Fork...But I'm coming back soon to catchOVER the slot! 👍🏾

Come on guys. You have to catch a few largemouthed trash fish when you're slabbing or throwing topwaters. smile

I'm looking for types of areas to fish. I don't have a boat, I'm trying to figure out what kind of tackle to pack for the trip.

Thanks for the attempt Chuck. I think I have seen your truck off of 175 in the spring scouting out areas for crappie. I usually spend a few days out there between February and March under the bridges.

You don't have a boat, and planning on fishing a LMB Tourny? I've never heard of anyone doing that. Good luck, though.

I got into a school of 1-2 pounders about two weeks ago up on top of a rubble point inside of Mill Creek. Pulled three out of more than that, chasing shad in about a foot of water. They ate my Chugbug.

Thanks for the info guys. Let me clarify. I am fishing a bass club tourney as a non-boater. I am asking on this forum (hence the Cheating reference) because I know the striper fisherman sometimes get into a school or find largemouth from time to time. I am trying to get information others may not have because they may not have thought to ask. We are launching out of Loe's Highpoint Marina. Thanks for the info Justgettingby, jdlyle and mark1.

BTW Eric thanks for the email. I will remember the info and I have purchased some of those, just in case I get the chance to use them.

Any updates. Anyone get into the largemouth, smallmouth, or spots while looking for stripers or whites?

Thanks to everyone that has replied or sent emails. I hope to put them to good use.

Thanks to all those that replied. It turned out to be a tough day for everyone. The tourney was won with 4.42lbs caught out of Highpoint Marina. I took third on a lucky fish at 3.36lbs out of the Tucker's cove area on a drop shot.

Not to pollute you good striper forum with LMB talk. Several nice stripers were caught. I caught one out of a boat slip in Eisenhower behind the gas dock. Thanks again.

Eric

Last week end, I fished the cut at North Island with a firetiger top water chug bug. Caught 5 LMB in about 15 minutes. Largest was 5 pounds.

I was looking for stripers and let the LMB go. They should still be there. smile smile
