Another recent thread got me thinking that it has probably been 4+ years since I've replaced my fuel lines so I probably need to replace them soon..

Do you guys have any suggestions on a good ethanol-approved replacement line for a '98 Yamaha 150 2-stroke? Will an OEM line work ok or is there a better option?

Thanks guys..

I replaced the the line on my 02 suzuki 4-stroke 2yrs ago with an automotive hose. It's not grey so it doesn't have the uv protection like a grey hose, but being an automotive hose it is ethanol approved. I think it cost me $1.99 and was 13"or 15" long. A new grey mercury/quicksilver hose(like the one I was replacing) was in the $20.00 range.

As long as you get the right size and ethanol resistant you will be ok.

Did same thing as Triumph 190 above. Replaced fuel line on my 225 Yamaha with automotive fuel line. There are two "grades" of fuel line, not expensive and expensive (braided?). Was told that the nonexpensive line collapses under high pressure but the braided more expensive line accomodates higher pressures. I used the non braided since I was also told that my motor and the location of my line wouldn't be subjected to pressures high enough to collapse the cheaper line. It runs fine.
