Since they changed the regulation its much easyer to get the record and not kill the fish, records are cool if your into them - I would totally put in some carp fly records if I could get them - rod and reel I think I have the unoffical grapevine and athens records

please be aware that all topics mentioned by Beman Deamon may be acceptable topics elsewhere but not here. BD rod and real fishing is fine and I applaud your interested in it but no one in this group approves of killing fish for sport and I believe no one calls it a sport a waste of a great reasource is my belief. Who says Bow fishing is not acceptable? The state says I can, my rights say I can, so guess what, I will, and nothing goes to waste, why would I shoot and release?? Talk about low IQ's.... Every fish I kill goes in someones freezer, be it by rod or BOW.

I'm not picking fights, but I'm tired of all the R&R guys trashing us Bow guys. name one time i have let 100+yds of line loose in a rive or lake, be it trash or broken line??? never. yet who has the larger economical impact? me and my fish I kill, or the line that chokes the life out of the Eco system and has a far greater impact than the THWACK of my bow. In the forum it is not can you not read I sent out an olive branch but some people refuse to think. Talking about that is trolling in an area where people practice almost exclusive catch and release. It would be like me going into the Bass fishing area and saying i only like to fillet and eat bass over 9 lbs all others I feed to the raccoons. Use common sense and think about the tip I gave you, I even gave you a website to find the stuff. If you want welcome to Euro-Style carp fishing if not have a nice day.

not for me, there is a Asian guy who lives by me, makes carp balls, never ate one. But i do like the jigs he ties and trades me for the fish
