 Has anyone had problems with Lowrance.

My HDS 7 unit stopped working the second day of a 5 day trip to FALCON in January. (DUE TO RAIN..... i belive.) It as almost been 4 weeks and I still dont have a replacement. I have a torunament comming up soon. what should I do, short of going out and getting a hummingbird. Is there anybody at Lowrance that can help me out?

The same thing happened to me but I think it was my fault. It wasn't rain but 8 foot seas that did my unit in. I don't use all the plugs in the back and didn't know you had to put covers on the ones that aren't being used -- I think that's what shorted it out.
I got in touch with Linda Colt and she immediatly sent me a replacement express mail without waiting for me sending back my unit. I here she quit though -- that's too bad.

ya they told me 3 to 4 weeks, ordered the replacement unit on the 25 of january, and they said it may be alittle bit longer like 2 to 4 weeks because they are on back order.

money man sounds like bs to me. I'd call every day til THEY found me a replacement. Just hard to believe . good luck

They've had my LCX-27 since NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!! I call once a week and they always say it's on back order for 2 or 3 more weeks. Just got thru checking status online before I got on the forum (I've done it so much I can do it in my sleep). It hasn' changed in over 2 months...Unit on Order.

I boat a new boat w/2 lowrances on it inside of 6 months they were both in the factory shop at the same time,not been to high on them ever since! I just wont buy one!! maybe just my luck!!

So lowrance reps don't post on here like Eddie at HB does? Eddie answers my PMs from here. HB also "gave me" down imaging for free.

Yeah, I really love the hds picture and function, but I cant take a chance of not having for 2 months if it goes out! I dont get to fish much as it is!

I rode with tommy biffle at the toyota classic and his went out after getting wet and they said it wasnt the unit that was bad its the plugs that short out..

i just got a boat with Lowrance... so far the only thing that has been reliable and easy to deal with is my Humminbird i put on the side
