Been hearing some good reports about the water just below the dam, appears some big fish have been coming over lately. Anyone else want to offer some insight? Lake is 2 feet over and I think theyve opened the floodgates based on USGS. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?site_no=08017400Anybody else heard any good things about bank fishing down there?

Drove down there this morning with the grand-daughters in tow - lots of water in the bottoms for sure - if you tried to backstroke under the 47 bridge, you'd bust/bruise your hands and arms. A ton of water coming over the spillway for sure!
Two vehicles there and three fishers - didn't hang around long enough to ask if they were catching anything.

KP I'm sorry I didn't make the weigh in, I really wanted to finally get to meet you but I let my disgust get in my way of making the weigh in. Plus I was pretty pooped out .

Mike, water has been going over the spillway non-stop for over a month now. I'm half tempted to take the light action spinning stuff and some 1/4-1/2 oz. roadrunner jigs down there and try it. There are some who use little live crayfish and let them roll along on the bottom and wear out the sandies.

I drove by there on my way back home tonight. I have never seen so many gulls when there was not an ocean in the background lol. They were hammering the shad coming over the top of the dam as soon as they were hitting the water below. It made me want to stop and throw all fifteen rods from my truck...I DONT CARE IF I BLOCKED TRAFFIC ON 46, you almost read about me in yall's paper.

Hahaha, TIME MARK WAS RIGHT, after I got off the water with you it took me awhile to get home and then I worked on that steering issue I had until 5am. One new helm and I am up and running.
