I wonder if travis marine has a website or e-mail. We could send a copy of some of these posts and when they see all the negative publicity they're getting, maybe they will be shamed into doing the right thing. I might also send a copy of these posts to the Main Suzuki outfit. Just a thought

I don't think that it would matter to travis marine how any of us feel. I have one of there boats and I have had to take it in for repairs and they never did fix it. Sure they said they did but when I got it home it was still doing the same thing. I looked at it my self and I could see that they never doid a thing to it. I called them and all they would say was Sorry and bring it back. Now I may look nuts but I am not that nuts. I fixed it my self and ask for my money back witch they again told me they were sorry and they would not refund anything because I repaired it my self Sorry is right THEY ARE SORRY and I will never buy anything from them again. Omar I wish you well and if I can be of any help I am here to help you in anyway I can. I don't have much cash but I will help with what I can. If you want to do some trips and need a boat you can use mine so you can save some cash to get what you need for yours. Just put gas and oil in her and take good care of her when you have her is all I would ask inreturn.

Hello All,

Well as it stands right now I am waiting for a reply from the district manager of Travis. If I do not get the respnse from them I need I will take my boat to Stan at Alliance. Stan said to replace the entire drive unit - dive shaft and all gears in the lower unit worst case scenario would be around $4000. I unfortuantely let my underwater insurance lapse. I have been going through a divorce and it came down to keeping a roof over the kids heads or insurance, well you know what won out there.

Greg, I may have to borrow that boat for the November trip and they just upped the number of people to 23 on Lewisville on November 2nd , soooo I need at least 2 more boats with guides if you are interested let me know.

Thank you to all who have offered to donate time and money to help me. If you would rather not help due to my own stupidity for allowing my insurance to lapse I understand. Once I do get a firm estimate from Alliance though, if anyone still wants to help I will post that amount and the money can go directly to Alliance. I don't really care if I personally ever fish again - the kids that I take from Camp Cavett though are who I really care about. I have been told I have a gift and I need to use it. Anyone who helps will get some kind of a trip from me on my boat or theirs and could call me anytime with any question or anything else.

Sometimes the best thing we can do is walk away (from Travis) and let our actions speak by never buying from them again.

Thank you all so very much, May God Bless you all.

Sharon,

My boat when it is fixed?? will always be open for you and Barbara and the gang.

I WISHED I KNEW ALL THIS BAD STUFF ABOUT TRAVIS LAST YEAR WHEN I BOUGHT MY 2002 21' FISHMASTER FROM THE ONE IN LEWISVILLE. NO PROBLEM WITH BOAT OR MOTER RUNNING. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE HAD IS [censored] FALLING OFF GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. LESS THAN ONE YEAR OLD AND THEY SAY TO BAD. I WILL TELL EVERYONE THAT I KNOW NOT TO BUY A BOAT FROM THEM. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER. DID I SAY NEVER.THEY SUCK BAD!! NEXT TIME I BUY A BOAT I WILL ASK THE FORUM WHERE TO BUY IT.

Well imagine that - no response from anyone at Travis?

I will be taking my boat to Stan at Alliance this weekend. Again, thank you all for your prayers, outpouring of helpful ideas and your willingness to do anything to help me. I have been sending all of my trips to fellow guides on this forum depending on what lake they wanted to fish. I hate to borrow someone else's boat, but the sooner I get mine fixed the sooner I'll be able to help someone else.

Again, I will never hold anything back from the people on this forum. My time andall that I can give is all of yours for the taking.

God Bless ALL of YOU!

Hello All,

Here is the latest in the Travis Saga. I picked up my boat from the Travis Center in Arlington and believe it or not I got some help! The GM actually invited me into his personal office - called the regional manager at home on his cell phone and they proceeded to tell me the following:

#1 They would use their leverage with Suzuki to reinsate my original 3 year warranty since I only use the motor on the weekend as a part time guide - not full time.
#2 If they were unable to reinstate the warranty they would do everything they could to help me get a full refund on the purchase price of my extended warranty.

So how about that sports fans? The refund on the warranty would have to go directly to the lien holder but this is all still good news. My advice to anyone who buys a boat or has a boat from Travis - Go to the Arlington store and never go back to Lewisville.

I went ahead and pulled my boat from Travis and took it to Alliance anyway. Stan said that all my lower and upper unit gears looked good, so the only part to replace is the drive shaft and I am currently waiting to get an estimate from Stan. The people at Alliance have recieved an "Excellent" service and repair rating from Suzuki almost ever since they started working on them.

Thank you all again and I look forward to helping with posts and info soon.

God Bless!
Omar "The Iron Leprechaun"
