Lots of room, great fishing layout, nice ride in rough water and the sound of my backseater's cheeks flapping at 90+!

My old 1996 Skeeter still looks good, the old engine runs good and it rides good. For the load I carry in it, it's pretty fast too. Havent had a single problem with the boat whatsoever since I bought it new. The trailer is a different story. But I wouldnt own any other bass boat other than a Skeeter. This is my 2nd one.
Remember who invented the bass boat. Skeeter.

2008 BassCat Cougar FTD (paid For) If there is a better boat out there I haven't seen it. If you want the best that BassBoating has to offer it has to say BassCat on the sides. My Cat stays Fat from eating Skeeters.

Paid for is the #1 thing. Old Nitro is 14 years old, everything works and it's dang reliable. It's hit enough trees and scraped enough rocks, mesquite trees and fence wire that it doesn't matter anymore. The efi Merc has got several hundred hours and cranks 1st time every time. Never spent a minute in the shop in 14 years. I do all my own maintenance and therefore am quite intimate with both boat and motor. If I were to get a new one (fat chance at 40k+) I'd have to relearn it, plus I see absolutely no advantage in the newest high dollar sparkle boats, other than to impress folks that I don't give a [censored] about anyway.

Right. Much more economical to beat a 5k boat down to 2k than to beat a 40k boat down to 10k.
