I went to the web site. Took a few minutes to listen to the video for the 2010 kickoff. I don't know if I am cut out for club memberships or nothing like that but I sure appreciate the invite. I'm gonna talk to my wife and see if this is something we might be interested in. I don't want to mislead anyone. My wife was fishing when I met her. She is my "fishin partner" as well as my life partner banana woot and I'm glad It worked out that way. We don't catch enough fish, nuff said. I am going to try and make it for a visit this month at the Library. Until then, Stay true to the Thump!!, Onewolf.

onewolf,
Take a seroius look at the club. It is a good bunch and a great place to learn. Don't matter if you fish the tournaments or not, spend some time talking with people and hitting the forums and you will learn tons from a great group. I joined last year and am now hooked on the tournamants!

The wife would be more than welcom, we have some serious couples in here.

One disclaimer for the club.... we are in the middle of our annual moaning and groaning and politics right now, but as soon as the fishing starts everyone will get back to being the jolly bunch they normally are. Just ignore the political bitching for another month and we will be having fun!

Well, Mark that wasn't me. Love my short slip-jigging St Croix and still need to send it in to get a new blank so I can get it repaired before the Spring spawn.

I'm sure ProAngler rods are all that too, just don't need new rods right now and have better things to spend my money on.

As for joining CAT, I'll say I learned quite a bit from those guides and experts, but the travel was just too much and was more geared towards folks with boats(totally understandable).

Those are the reasons I didn't rejoin this year, not because I don't think it's a worthwhile organization. I was happy to be one of the first-year members of the club. If I'm still around in a few years and finally get THAT boat I want, then I may rejoin to get back into the flow. Got the GPS, now just need the boat!

thumb Thanks Lobo for the encouragement and the cautions. I do know that this thread is about who has the bigger rod or the longer one or maybe it was who used theirs the most blush I just know it ain't about me. When it is settled I wonder what the prize is. rolfmao Thanks again Blake, Big Mack, and you too Lobo. fishStay true to the Thump!!, Onewolf.

Mark I was hoping you would team up with me and we would have a chance but I can see now it's no use is it? I guess we better just keep on fishing for fun with our St Croixs. Looks like this years circuit is all but over. Saved me a lot of money. cheers

Just messing with you St. Croix guys clap I'd make a bet but it wouldn't be fair. Don't y'all know paul is "the man" thumb
I'm sure they are a fine pole and very sensitive. I just know that if I can't feel or see the bite using a ProAngler, I didn't get bit.

I agree with Paul and Jerry on the Proangler poles. Have been using them for the last few years and really have been satisfied with them. If you have ever met Ed he sure is a stand up guy and will stand behind his product.
