Don't do this to me...I want to know what the "drains" are too...we are heading that way in a couple of weeks for the first time.

Drains are the small channels that feed into creek or river channels. A lot of times you don't see any indication of them on the bank. You could call them arroyos, ditches, cuts, washes, etc. There are usually more bushes growing along these drains.

We're going down the 14th through the 18th. It ought to be a great way to kick off the season. I hope we can get into them like some of you guys have been. I'm with ring fry- I'm tired of all this snow.

There doesn't have to be a big difference in depth either. 2 foot drop seems to be plenty on Falcon. The bushes closest to the drains worked the best too. Not that we didn't catch fish away from them, there were just more fish around them.
