I think I know why some folks believe in ghosts and such now.

I've stopped nicotine some 10 months ago. Was watching a movie (Con Air) yesterday. All of a sudden, this HUGE craving came over me to smoke. I mean BAD! I was not expecting it but since there was no tobacco in the house, I just took a few deep breaths and waited for my brain to reclaim control over my body.

It was a TRIGGER from when I first saw the movie many years ago. That's how sneaky your mind can be with an addiction. I'll handcuff myself to an alligator on Caddo Lake before I take another hit of nicotine in any form.

Agreed, BB.

Welcome, Grant2 - it gets easier as the days pile up, but there's always that nagging little "thing" in your head......

Had another smoking dream last night . . . . . 15 weeks into the quit.. I was in a friend's house & looked down at my hand - there it was - a half-smoked cigarette. I was so embarrassed because they're non-smokers & here I was smoking in their house.....

Then I woke up...... the addiction is insidious....

Got a new Trigger.

After football season, I get busy around the yard. I've had a smoke going non-stop in the 37 years previous to this one.

Not this year though.
