How about feedback on the whites in Lewisville. Debating on trying tomorrow pm for a round of hopeful action. Tonite looked to be a good night with clouds. Anyone who might have gone over the last couple of days want to report in? Looking for the latest and greatest feedback.
Thanks

Fished Fri evening and Sat morn & found lots
of mag sized sandies.Best place was around twin trees point.Pretty far out about 35-45'
of water.Hell/pet combo was the ticket. Also
got into topwater schoolers in cove by dam
close to Dallas pump station.Topwater fish were small , all big ones on hell/pet.Good luck you should do well if a big boat full of drunks doesn't run over and kill you first.

Went out there Monday - the moon had us screwed but it was still fun. Three people and thirty keepers. I'll definitely be there tonight with the clouds and all. I will post a report tomorrow.

Was out yesterday evening from about 6:00 until dark. Pretty stiff wind from the southeast so trolling the hell pet was about all we could do. Best location was the Twin Poles. Fish schooled on top briefly around 7:30 but did not stay up more than about 10 min. So much wave action they were hard to see unless you were right there on them. Water 15-20 ft deep just west and northwest of the poles was the best area. Just a few other boats out and everyone was catching them pretty well. We boated quite a few magnums on the hell pet. Topwater fish were all dinks.

What boat will you be in? We will be in a 17' Xpress (camo) with a 50 Yamaha. Maybe we will see you out there. We are planning on getting on the water around 6:00pm.

I was out there tonight (Wednesday) from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. We only caught 6 but we still had fun. Caught em all trolling the twin poles area on the north & northwest side. Only had enough set ups for 1 Hell/Pet rig but did ok on a Model-A/Roadrunner setup too. Something big broke off my White Model-A as I was pulling one in on the roadrunner.

Where exactly is Twin Poles? Is it above the old dam or below? From posts, I thought it was below, the old dam on the southeast point before you go up into Little Elm.

Boy what a boat show and man were those waves big! Duck Hunter I saw you guys we fished right by you in the pontoon. We had a couple of rookies with us that were scaring the hell out me. Anyway we tried a couple of other spots before we went to the poles limited success. I think I filleted about 25 total - not near what it has been. Hey what did yall think of that big a$$ speed boat that was fishing out there - do we have a convert?

fishmanwink, I saw that big speedboat out there fishing yesterday. You think he could get a trolling motor on that thing? Seriously, I didn't know what the heck was going to happen when he pulled up. You definitely don't see that too often. I wonder if he caught any. I was out there trolling with my two kids in a burgundy and silver Ranger Fish-n-Ski. We did OK. Decent fish with a few magnums mixed in. I've got a buddy that want's to load a cooler so we're going to be out there agin on Fri. night. I thought that center console Xpress that was out there was a pretty cool boat!

fishmanwink I don't know if he caught anything, but that boat looked to be designed for something else (if you know what I mean?), We boated half dozen, found them at the mouth of the finger leading into Little Elm. Had them all to ourselves until the wind came. At that point we lost contact with the schooling activity, and decided to plow across the lake. I got my tail kicked as you saw my 17' toy out there getting tossed around like a beer can (Camo Light). Anyway hope to go again this weekend.

lunkerlookin':
twin poles are if you launch at the garden ridge boat ramp head out towards the main part of the lake, and after you past the point on your left you'll see the twin poles out about 100-200yds on your left.

Took the warden (wife) and the other two inmates (kids 2 & 5) out last night. All I can say is that it was hot and there was zero wind. We tried all the usual spots not much going on. We were getting ready to head to the prison (house) on direction of the warden when she notice the fish bustin shad around the twin poles. The little inmate didn't care because he was told we were going to get a happy meal. The larger inmate on the other hand caught about 25 and the warden caught about 30. All in all it was a good time and can't wait till I get another parole to go.

Oh yeah the littlest inmate did get his happy meal instead of the same old cafateria mush.

duckhunter888,

Sorry to be a pain...but, I don't see the Garden Ridge ramp on any map on line. Is there another name for it?

Try Tower Bay, it is at the end of Garden Ridge at I-35
