Going to pines, I thought you were going to Cooper dam? I wish I was going! Be sure and call and rub it in! If I dont hear from you, I will know you got your rear handed to you!

It's been wide open for over 3 months now.
I was pretty warm everywhere but my face and hands and I was wearing neoprene gloves and the wind was cutting right through them!

I don't know if LOP is hard to figure out as I have not managed to get it done yet. If you go to Caddo (and I would recommend it), be sure and get a map with the boat roads on it. They are all marked and you will get lost without it. Blake, notice that FISHNBOB2 said "you will get lost without it" not "you may get lost" , this is the truth!! Caddo Lake area has the most awesome scenery of any lake around. Jeff

Yep, been there and done that about 40 years ago and it is worse now but like pugman said even if you don't take a rod you will enjoy caddo and you will think you are in the Florida everglades. Have fun
set that hook!

I grew up fishing that lake, mostly for bass & jack fish(chain pickerel) and there is no question it is the most beautiful lake anywhere. You are right about getting lost, every place you are in looks just like the one you left. Steve

Just don't eat the fish out of Caddo. Loaded with mercury.

Yes the tree canopy can block GPS signal. Many "rich" boys have gotten lost w/ them high tech devices down there. I carry both just in case....

Well,Blake, you may not get lost but you're getting older so you may FORGET where you are. Make sure you take a camera.

I am waiting for some cash flow to go and buy me a 10' spinning rod and hit the tailrace. People are taking their limits back there
