The Females are stacked at the mouth up towards the first bend.... Plenty of males scattered up all the way to the rapids. I would not make the trip all the way up there but stay down closer to the mouth and fish the bigger schools that were a little deeper.

i wonder if the whole truck/boat unit went through, or if the trailer jumped the ball...
at least the boat stayed on the trailer and it was upright.
about year ago, i saw an article in the saltwater magazine they sell int he gas stations (can't remember the name, but it's about the best texas fishing mag i ever read) anyways, they had some pics of a trailer that came loose and the boat came off the trailer.... man, talk about ruining your trip! When I went by the truck was parked by the fence. The bow of the boat...Still on the trailer was over the fence. I think the trailer came off the ball...No safety chains???

I REALLY want to go on Sunday, but my buddy has family obligations that had come up unexpectedly. I was uber-sick today, so I'm very weak. It's 9pm right now, and I would love nothing more than to hook up the boat to take it up the road and wash it, but I'm seriously weak. I also need to wire up the GPS on my new Lowrance 332C, but I would need a second pair of hands here at night. I love living up here at Canyon Lake, but it's not so much fun when your friends don't want to make the drive from SA. Okay, now I'm just ranting because I'm weak and I want to get some strength so I can try and launch tomorrow. If I launch, that would ensure that we get thunderstorms (having the Charlie Brown cloud syndrome), so some good will come out of it. I sure wish there were a fishing chat room for real time talk. i actually got to go out yesterday and today but didn't really know where to go. being my first time out to canyon lake. i went up into the river but must not have gone far enough. i caught a few crappie and my daughter caught one white. and today we didn't leave potter's cove. boat problems. so that probably ends my time on canyon because my parents are going back home with the boat next weekend.

I can't believe I have to work on a day like this! I'm only about 5 minutes away from the Crane's Mill boat launch. "Cough, Cough!" I think I'm getting sick....can't make it into work on Tuesday........eye trouble<----just can't see myself coming into work! Great Catch! My ultra-light gear is going to scream at me when I get home. Steven
