nspann, i always knew that the amount of water running through did not change, but doesnt the temp of the water being released change depending on if u are or if u are not generating??

I reread all the post above to make sure we were all on the same page. Yes, in the winter time our discharge will cool off some due to the natural cooling of the lake...yes thats true. Its not cooling off because of how much were generating. If we are in a long outage, which doesn't happen very often, the flow will be less and in turn I guess would have some sort of cooling effect eventually over a long period of time because of less flow. We will only have one unit down at a time during these outages unless something strange happens. So, I hope were all on the same page...the amount of generation doesnt matter....the natural cooling affects on the lake do over time.

I looked at the on-line map I use ( www.acme.com/mapper) and I could not find Fayette Co. Reservoir. I did see Cedar Creek Reservoir and from the description of the location I found on TPWD website (off 159 near LaGrange) it appeared to be the same lake. Is Cedar Creek Reservoir the same as the lake you guys are talking about?

I fished Sunday and the weather was a lot better than those pics! It was pretty good, got a couple 5s, and 4or5 3 pounders, total 17. All of ours were typical Fayette footballs too.

The key to Fayette is to "cover" LOTS of water early in the day. Once the sun comes out you target submerged structure. You can have hundred fish days if cloud cover will hang around and allow you to cover water all day in low light conditions.

Yep need to step up the game mcneil as it is very easy to pull 30 to 100 fish a day on fayette. Fished it for 28 yrs and if you hold your mouth right you will get em.

Well I am headed back down again in the morning. I will post more pictures along with total numbers of fish. I am only taking two baits a spinnerbait and 10 inch trix worms.
