I'm assuming this is going to get moved, but I'm trying to get the word out for our tournament. Spread the word, come join us, it's going to be a great time!

When: Saturday, March 13th... Safe light to 3pm depending on entries and flights.

Where: Hubbard Creek - Sandy Creek Marina

What: A fundraiser tournament to benefit the Texas Tech Bass fishing team to help send our teams to the National Championships!

The Goods: We will have raffle prizes, cash payouts of 70% of what we take in, 100% payout on optional $20 Big Bass and lots and lots of other prizes!

Cost: $100 dollar entry fee for open teams, $50 dollars for participating college teams**

The weigh in, staging and launch will be held at Sandy Creek Marina. There will be food and drinks at the weigh in. Trophies awarded to the top 5 of both divisions.

**: College participants who finish in position for cash payout will receive 50% of the amount for that place finish due to reduced entry fee. The remainder will go to the Texas Tech Bass Team. College entrants are not limited to the reduced entry fee rate and can enter as an open contestant for full privileges of payouts.

Please contact me for registration forms, by phone or e-mail. Registration/liability forms and full rules are also available on our website @ http://texastechbassanglers.webs.com/

I hope everyone can make it out! It is going to be a lot of fun and our team would be grateful to have ya'll come out and fish with us! So ya'll come out and take a shot and see if you can fish with some of the college boys!

Thanks,

Jake,
Well done on getting this type of thing organized.

Those fishing the WTTT will have trouble making it with a tourament that weekend on Amistad, but I wish you the best of luck.

If there is any way I can help the team out this year, let me know.

-Curtis

Thanks Curtis, it's been a frustrating process, but it should go really well, got all the loose ends tied up and I'm ready for the day to come already! The fishing should be on fire at Hubbard Creek that time of year, I'm excited! You gonna be able to make it or are you fishing WTTT?

Regardless of the entry fee you pay, we will keep track of the college angler's and the plaques will be awarded to the non-college guys and the college guys. 1st-5th of both divisions will receive a very nice plaque, just got the specs today, they look good!

Thanks guys,
Jake Szot

I may be able to make it. I think yall would make more money if yall held the event at IVIE due to the amount of people who want a reason to go there this spring. Also if the WTTT is the same weekend there goes alot of local support

Good to know... We chose Hubbard Creek because of its location and the availability of hotels and its relative closeness to the DFW area. Trust me, we thought this out. Thanks though.

Also, Sandy Creek Marina is allowing us to use their facilities as well as some cooperation with a local bass club to fish it and help us out.
