does anybody know anything about this little lake north of conroe? will be going with some friends camping soon and don't know anything about it.

One of my favorite places...have been fishing there for 30 years plus every winter for whites. The san Jacinto River runs through there and that is where you fins the whites-not so much in the actual oxbow lake. You can camp free in the hunters camp or in the pay to play area. The Lone Star Trail is a 100 mile plus trail that cuts through the pay to play area and runs through the national forest. Sometimes you can see bald eagles there. Lot's of deer, wild hogs, and bird life.
