Yeah, you are crazy to take your first trip to Amistad without stopping by Anglers Lodge to talk with Carl. My brother and I made our first trip to Amistad a couple years ago and were blessed to be able to stay at Anglers. I swear Carl would spend half an hour just going over the map with us and giving us more inside info than we would have got in a weeks worth of fishing on our own. Incredible guy and an awesome lake to be on!

Cody Malone, If you don't think you should expand on your quote "That your bad experience doesn't need to be told to hurt someones business" then you don't need to speak at all. Your little comment didn't help his business.Next time keep your comments to yourself.

I have stayed @ Amistad Lake Resort,we didn't have what I would call a bad time, but one in our party had some stuff stole out of the back of the truck.I understand this is not uncommon.Once we discovered Anglers Lodge we only stay there.Carl & Diane are first class in the way they treat the folks staying with them. And I don't worry about anything getting stolen.Carl keeps an eagle eye on things. They also make a mighty fine breakfeast taco & hamburger! Can't wait for the last week in March to be there!

I do not mind speaking out. I was literally electrecuted when I stayed there about three years ago. Byron had just taken over the place and it need much help. My buddy said he saw sparks shoot out my rear when I touched a hanging lamp. Both he and Byron call me sparky now. Byron offered to let me come back free of charge, but I never took him up on it and I appreciate him taken care of it so quickly. That being said, I hear he has made great improvements and runs a great place. I actually have booked another week there in March.

Cody has ever right to say a little, a lot or nothing at all. Sounds like he was trying to be polite. It seems that some people only want an opinion if it is what they want to hear. I say Cody keep the comments coming and if people do not like it, then they can go elsewhere.

Sorry for the rant, I am getting sick of all the watch dogging on here that goes on and trying to call someone out. Have respect for others opinions, rather you agree or not. That being said. jthemtp it is your right to have an opinion on his post, just not your place to tell a man to keep comments to himself.
