my name is & alan im 25 & i cant catch n e fish. at all! i have been fishing my whole life.(from the bank) last summer i purchased a boat. put a load of work into it. & all i do.... is fish. & i never catch n e thing. i research & ask for advise from everyone. lately i have been fishing with a carolina rig, with minnows, at grapevine for crapie. i dont care what i catch i just want my first official big fish, or for once 2 catch my limit. please help me!!!!!!!!! thanks

Have you tried fishing for Blues drifting with cut shad or anchoring up over a school of bait fish?

i have never fished for cats with shad. i have only used worms or doe bait. i guess i should get a casting net. are all the cats up at marshall creek? whats the best rig for catching cats. i dont know how to fish with rattle traps. i dont know how i should retrieve or how long i let them sink. the main bait i use for bass is. texas rig or carolina rig with a plastic worm (dark bleu). ill take all the advice a can get. thanks

That's kina my story too...just got my boat last summer. I live near Joe Pool so that's the lake i'm at almost every week during warmer weather. I've found the crappies on that lake but haven't been able to catch any decent sized bass or catfish. It would be nice to catch my limit sometime too! Good Luck
