My #1 customer and good friend called me and wanted a trip tomorrow and I said no way, I want to fish too. I called Herschel from the forum and we are all meeting at 5 to go do some fishing.

Anyone else going to Pool tomorrow? Besides Gunrunner, I know he'll be there (its Wednesday), hahaha.

Just wish I could be there fishing tomorrow. Had something like 200 new accounts waiting for me this morning will take most of the week to fix them up. I feel a week long fishing trip to the Pool coming up soon.
Will I be at the Oasis tomorrow, the way this week is shaping up I may make it every night.
Good Luck.

Well folks, I can say it was a GEORGOUS morning on the Pool and that it about it. Worked real hard for the four dinks I put in the boat (two rattletrap, one on a carolina rigged fry, and the other on a deep diver c/b). No sign of sand bass anywhere on the lake. Nothing surfacing, no bait deep- - just totally dead! I suspect the cold front put them in temporary shock (makes a good excuse any way) and that they will become active this afternoon. Hope they do come alive for you guys that are going out!!

BTW, wigginsjd, I am retired now, but used to sell printing. You don't need 5 new accounts, just one really good one!!

Hey tritoon- - getting like printer's alley here! I worked in manufacturing early in my career and moved to sales. All with the "Big Indian", RR Donnelley.

Wayne,

You are right, but getting that one big one and keeping them is tough to do.

Well somebody tell me how it goes, even if you think I would not want to know how good it was.
The count is now up to 243. I don't think this week is going to end, if it keeps on going no fishing this weekend for me.

Me and Scott got there about 4. We went to the marina and at 4:30 I told the guy at the restaurant we would catch 10 fish before we had to pick Herschel up at 5. In that 30 minutes we landed 51 white bass and not one was over 10 inches but boy did we have a blast.

Picked up Herschel and the top water had slowed. We moved to a place Gunrunner told me about and finished off with 92 whites and Herschel did take home several keepers.

I'm just glad Im not cleaning fish and that Joe Pool has alot of whites ready for a fat winter.

Howell's right on. When they came back and picked me up and told the story of 50 fish in 30 minutes i was thinking what a fish story.
Well when i got in the boat, and we arrived on the first school, all three of us were pulling them in 2 at time. That wasn't any story - I was up way to late cleaning fish last night. I'm pretty sure it had alot to due with the tunes. Seems you know exactly what the fish wanted to here. laugh laugh
Howell, your the man. I really appreciate you taken time to to go fishing with me. You defintenly deserve the credit. You had us right on top of fish all the way till the sun went down. Next time i catch you, tabs on me!! Scott that includes you. Both of you were a blast to fish with.

Anyone out there wanting a great guide on Joe Pool, look no further. Howell Dodd has it going on!

Gotta give credit to Wayne too. What a guy for wishing the luck on us. Thanks.
