Awesome catch! I have a question, We are heading down that way this weekend to pick up some deer feeders and tree stands, so I won't be able to bring the boat, is there any good bank fishing at Fairfield? Thanks.

There is some bank fishing around the state park, But im not too sure how successful you will be. All of the fish we caught were offshore.

nice reds-

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Thanks for the info. We might just have to bring two trucks so one can pull the boat. How deep were those guys? Those should be some good eating.

Most of them came on deep diving crankbaits, the color didnt matter. One came on a drop-shot and a few more came on a mojo rigged fluke.

they like deep running crankbaits i caught the big one on a Sebile Rattsler. most of them didnt seem too picky once you got em fired up. we caught fish from 7' to 17' deep. It just depended on where i marked bait and fish on the graph.
