Started early Sunday with topwater chrome Torpedos. Sandies schooling on top from Jordon ramp to Isle de Boise park. Fished topwater until 10am. Then fished a couple more hours with pearl slabs. Fish went to bottom at 25 feet. Nice breeze this morning. Good day. Thanks to Gib and Edy. First time to catch sandies. They caught over 100 and kept a few to eat.

Whale, thanks for the report. I have never been on Ray Roberts, but would like to try. Where abouts is the Jordan ramp? I have checked some maps out, but I see are the state parks. Also, where would be a good place to launch, and while I am at it, is there any good cleaning stations? Thanks for any info. you are able to provide.

A good place to put in would be at Isle de Boise state park. They have a fish cleaning station. Jordon Park is straight west of Pilot Point on 1192. There is no cleaning station at Jordon. Either way, the sandies have been schooling north of Isle de Boise to the Sand Branch and Jordon area. This morning (Monday the 25th)we had thirty nice ones by 10am. Released many more. We caught the largest with pearl slabs at 25 feet. This has been the pattern since last week.

cool Wow, thanks for the report. I have been trying to get my dad to come down and go fishing with me for a while and he finally decided to make the trip. I was originally planning to take him out on Lewisville Thur. morning, but I think we'll go to Ray Bob, instead. What were you using for topwater bite?

For topwaters, use chrome, clear, and shad color Torpedos or Crazy Shad. These baits have props on them and make plenty of noise and cast well.

How's the evening Sandy bite these days? I plan to hit it soon.

Are there Hybrids in Roberts as well?

We also went to Ray Bob on Sunday and caught several sandies on the top with any and every thing we threw at them, also went to the bottom at 9 am with silver spoons and the action was unreal, Reel go to the state park as mentioned by whale and just go north 1/4 mile around the first point past the beach and get ready, I took a friends & his daughter that have never been in a school of sandies before and they were so excited every one could hear them all over the lake it was great, I beleave there hooked for life, there talking about getting a boat already. Have fun take a kid.

For the evening bite, start around Wolf Island and go toward the dam. You will catch a few good schools surfacing. They don't seem to want to stay very long until around 7pm. If you put in near the dam, you should check the west end at the hump that comes up around 12 feet. They will hang out in this area for a few weeks. You might want to bring the binoculars to check long range. Ray Roberts wasn't stocked with any hybrids. Good Luck
